The majority of NUT members nationally are women and the union holds regular women’s conferences, schools and events to which Mid-Essex Association sends members. This page will reflect reports and issues raised in those events and important issues for women teachers in general.

We are pleased to announce the start of the newly formed Essex NUT Women’s Network group. We are actively seeking female members of the association to join us.

The group has been set up to start organising training courses/workshops/speakers on legal rights, career progression and being more assertive/confident. Additionally we are planning to organise some well being days with a chance to meet and talk.
